SKILLBRIDGE MILITARY INTERNSHIPS

Textron Aviation is an authorized SkillBridge organization that provides a unique opportunity for service members to return to civilian life with meaningful and gainful employment. This internship will place the ideal candidate in a role working with the entire Textron Aviation team. Interns have the opportunity to support the business through real, business-driven work while gaining exposure to different fields.

Qualifications for the program:

  • Participants must be in their last 180 days of service (Internship length of time will vary)
  • Receive approval from military command chain

  • VETCOM EMPLOYEE RESOURCES GROUP

    VETCOM is an employee resource group that seeks to honor, support and elevate our nation's veterans and military community throughout the full spectrum of their service.

  • MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

    The Textron Aviation Mentorship Program provides opportunities for our employees to develop peer relationships and embrace diverse perspectives. The 10-month program focuses on connecting employees in different areas of the business with the intent to build participant's networks, introduce them to different viewpoints and help them gain valuable advice.

  • MILITARY SKILLS TRANSLATOR

    Candidates may utilize this tool by inputting a military career code (MOS, AFSC, or Rating) or title and the tool will output relevant jobs that Textron Aviation currently has posted.

    As a company that works closely with the military and its members, we understand the importance of service to our country. To support our employees that are continuing to serve, we provide paid leave of absence. We thank you for your service.

  • Security Clearance

    Do you have a secret security clearance? We have opportunities within our Defense organization that may be a strong fit for you based on your background. Textron Aviation is open to all ranks and experience levels.

  • USE YOUR AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE

    We recognize that you may have expertise in aircraft maintenance without having the Airframe or Powerplant certification. If this sounds like you, we offer the opportunity to start your career with us, and we will provide a two-week prep course and pay for you to obtain your Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certifications within the first few months of employment.

Recruiting Events and Presentations

Textron Aviation attends military recruiting events by working with different military branches and veteran organizations. We also offer presentations targeted to active and veteran populations, to educate individuals on how their previous experience aligns with the skillsets needed and values of Textron Aviation.
